Six Lower Wensleydale Business Network members, representing Law, Accountancy, Banking, Hospitality, IT and Graphic Design and Business, gave careers presentations to the sixth form students of Wensleydale School and Six Form. Each presentation was followed by questions and answers and students were encouraged to ask further questions in one to one sessions.
This face to face careers initiative proved so successful that the school asked for further careers events to be organised for the 80 year 11 students.
The first of these, which lasted one hour and was called “A Conversation With” was supported by seven Lower Wensleydale Business Network members representing Accountancy, Law, Farming, Estate Agency and Auctioneering, Retail, IT and Graphic Design and Business Creation and Entrepreneurship.
The informal approach of the “A Conversation With” initiative again proved successful with the students and further events are now being organised the next of which will be on the 16th of January 2017.
